Buying Tomtom help??

Options
My mum wants a Tomtom Sat Nav for her car and looked around various shops for the cheapest Tomtom ONE model.

However my relatives are coming over in a few weeks from Canada and have been wondering if its worth the hassle and money to ask them to get one from Canada (as its around £80-£90 when converted) and then load the UK maps onto it and also will it work on cars over here?

If you buy the map for UK its £40 Europe is £70 (form Tom Tom) it quickly wipes out any saving. Plus you may have warranty issues.

Plus they probably should pay import tax on although in practice this seems unlikely.

The TomTom One is a pretty good choice for a basic simple to use sat nav, it was around £87 on https://www.play.com recently. Try https://www.froogle.com to find the best prices.
