Buildings Insurance 2nd property

Options
My parents have both died and left their bungalow to me. I was insuring the buildings as executor, but the company will not renew again. My son and his family live in the bungalow rent free, so I am not a landlord. How do I as owner, insure the Buildings (my son has his own contents cover) cheaply, all the web sites start will the question:
do you own the property ? YES
do you live in the property? NO

    Its quote simple.

You need a Residential Property Owners Policy which is basically a Residential Landlords Policy.

Speak to a local broker or preferably a broker who specialises in property Insurance.

Expect to pay circa £147 per £100000 of building cover.

I assume there is no Tenancy Agreement in place, make sure you point this out when you seek a quote as some Insurers will only offer cover if there is a Tenancy Agreement in place (You can always download one from the internet and get it completed).

If anyone quotes you MMA give it the big swerve
