Just a note to say this can backfire and here is my example:-
I was a bridesmaid for my friend and we had my dress sorted out! Then I went into the same shop and saw it at half price so decided to take it back and repurchase it to save my friend £100!
That was the only reason I went into town that day and upon leaving the carpark I scraped my car (really stupid, tight car park!). My beautiful brand spanking new shiny car, damage was over £400 and I couldn't claim on my insurance as it is already really high and I don't want to bump it up anymore!f
Friend UP £100 :T
Me DOWN £400 :mad:0 -
Call me old fashioned but NO i have NOT bought 3 suitcases when I only wanted one!!Regards,
Dave
If only I had a pound for every time I used the thanks button0 -
I think Barclaycard might still run the 'if you find it cheaper in 30 days we will refund the difference'
Brill if you buy something then it gets reduced in the sales.
Double check if I am right though and this is still on offer as Barclaycard seem to cancel all their good offers (like extended guarantees) just when you want them. The curve that can set a lot of things straight is a smile0 -
yes I do it all the time I am x M & S employee and they are not allowed to re sell you the reduced item....I would love to be a Travel Agent :j0

Not a happy bunny, and I wont get my money back if I cancel. I hunted for the cheapest flights, found them with Ryanair, when I came to book they had increased £100, and a week later back down £100, Im blazing, that couldave been couple days spends in spain BooHoo!!
I sympathise, I did a simliar thing with my holiday booking this year, my OH and I booked to a package holiday, but we couldn't have a hotel room that could accomodate all of us (2 adults, 4 children) so we booked two triple rooms on the same booking, there was a special offer of a £100 saving per booking so we should have done it over two bookings and saved a further £100. Grrrrr! (got two free child places though)

this works extremley well with toys at xmas.....i pay the pre xmas prices for brand name toys so dd gets to open them xmas day....then i re-purchase duplicate items in the january sales and return the them with the pre xmas reciepts....the savings made would then go in her account for the future....ie. i bought amazing amanda for £65 pre xmas, it was reduced down to £35 after xmas....0

You do have to be careful with this as some stores will mark products once they are reduced with indelible ink on the packaging / red dot (Next use the red dot on the label of reduced clothes) / highlighter pen over the barcode (early learning outlet) so you would be queried if you took the 'reduced' item back with the full price receiptIt's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0
