help with ppi

was trying to reclaim ppi. sent letter and £1.
bank returned my £1 and said the could not find it.
so now i cant reclaim my misold ppi .
so i thought do i need to repay loan

Hi there

May I ask what year you taken out the loan?

If its gone 6 years, as they don't tend to keep any information beyond that, however some have been lucky to still receive a CCA.

If this was less than 6 years ago, they should still hold the details, then if this is the case contact the Information Commissioner Office (ICO) to ask if they are able to help you in this case as you are trying to make a claim.
They may get in touch with them for you.

Do you have the account number at all ?

You can still try to reclaim on the PPI, just as long as your aware you were sold this and mis sold this, then is suddenly they fob you off, they must have some information on your account.

You can track down old loan account numbers by checking bank statements when you used to pay for the loan repayments, the account number should be shown next to the payments made.
If you have online banking, this should allow you to go back 6 years to check any statements and payments made.;)

bank said they onlay need to give us imfo on current loan

This is odd, they should still have these details, especially if its only 2 years, give the ICO a call and explain your situation and ask if they are able to contact them on your behalf.;)

You can still reclaim...but tell them you didn't request it and didn't know you had it....without the agreement how can they prove you did? ;)
