Short(ish) term car insurance

Hey gang,
Any thoughts on a short term car insurance policy? Leaving the country for 7 months in November, but the policy is up for renewal this month. I'm with swiftcover - is it worth asking them to do a deal for the next 5 months or is there anyone that someone out there could recommend that doesn't do annual policies...? Also of note, I'm 22 so none of these 24 and over types will do the trick...
