You can read into my posts whatever you choose
You still not received the card, thats a bit weird. If it doesn't turn up will you phone them, might have gone missing
Yeah, just apply the patience of fishing to debt management... not an analogy I'd thought of before but it makes sense!
Is there something else you can do to give you the feeling of doing something about your debts and overcome your impatience? List some stuff on ebay, switch to cheaper insurance, go to every supermarket and compare prices to save pennies :rotfl:

I've listed pratically everything on ebay that I can. Although when I get round to buying my new socks the old ones will go up!:rotfl:
Got the cheapest car insurance. Have always shopped around for that even pre-MSE days!
If there is anything else I can't think of it! Will have to just sit back and be patient I guess! Easier said than done!
Maybe a few days fishing will help! :think:0 -

Some fishing sounds like a good distraction, enjoy it!And when you come home there'll be a card waiting for you and you can do some balance transferring :j

Well... being the 'unlucky' nerd...I would hesitate to give you any actual financial advice chief nerd..but I do so sympathise with the frustration you're feeling

I'm living breathing eating and sleeping MSE at the moment I need to chill..I'm stuck now as both the 0% applications were turned down so I have to work with what I've got which as you know is not a lot! I'll be watching what you do next with interest and also keeping my fingers crossed for your work!0 -
Hello Chief! lol
006 reporting for duty. Actually that's not entirely true. I am just reporting my presence, have no idea what the right thing to do would be(no surprise there lol)
You got some great advice and now you are a sensible lad, I hope the car mats give you the inspiration you need.
That made sense in my head:rotfl:
Seriously though, be patient, Rome was not built in a dayYou are doing so well and you will be in the 29s before you know it. I'll keep an eye out to see what you decide to do which I am sure will be the right thing to do.
On a side not, these threads are great -very educational! :TLeason learnt :beer:0 -
Good morning number one! 002 checking in!
I know everyone says not to apply for too much at once, but if it helps, we've had two new cards (HSBC and Tesco) since the start of the year, and have just been accepted for Nationwide's Flexaccount (for free money exchange whilst in Canada!). I think lots of negatives would be bad, but surely positives wouldn't be too bad? We got rejected for a BT card last year, but again since clearing up our act it got better.
Especially if you're closing things before you apply - you could call the cards with gaps now and see what they'll offer, and if it's no good close them, then in a couple of weeks apply for different ones.

Hi SS,
Nerd 42 here. Just thought I'd mention that M&S and More CC (owned by HSBC) offered me 3.9% life of balance last week. I had a 9 month 0% from them for 9 months last year and am just using the card occasionally now, and paying in full monthly if I do!
Sorry haven't time to read the whole thread so aplos if this is irrelevant.
