Hi we are with npower. When we moved to this house 3 years ago I told them we did not want economy 7 then realised 1 yearish later that the bills were still E7 so i phoned them up. They told me they would swap it over, again I did not keep checking and then I noticed the it was still E7.

Anyway I complained and got a bill giving normal charges for both meters then I noticed in Oct 08 that i was back on E7.

I complained again, next bill was Yes E7. I have been told that it was not swapped because they need to change the meter.

Then I was told by another npower tele person that I did not need my meter changed and I would get a letter telling me the tarrif I was on. This came with E7 on it. On the phone again then I was told by another tele person that I do need the meter changed. My friend is with Npower and she did not need her meter changed so who is reight

Does anybody know for a fact does Meter need to be changed Yes or No? Please

I believe it is supplier dependant. Im with Eon, and they dont require a meter change, they simply add the two figures together. Saved me around 15% off my bill if I remember rightly. The previous owner for some inexplicable reason was on a E7 tarrif even though GCH was fitted.

We are with npower too. We are not on E7 (even thoug we have a E7 meter). I just changed the tariff to the one best for us, and that was that. Go onto the comparison sites to see which is best for you and change to it. No, you don't need a new meter.
I wish Germany had a website like moneysavingexpert!
