I married a twerp
because we have split up he thinks I have no right to leave the houses and won't have the children for any decent length of time to enable me to even go do the shopping...
I really don't want to hate him but he is making it incredibly difficult not to!!
Hey Pigpen
I'm guessing there is history here that I havent kept up with that everyone else has done, so apologies if I go over old ground!
Firstly...married a twerp?? Hmmm I'm wondering if you married MY ex without me noticing??? You're not the NEW Mrs B, are you??? :rotfl:
I'm assuming that you HAVE split up now. I simply made my ex see the children. Told him that they wanted to see him!!! (nothing to do with me needing the break on a sunday afternoon) He did give me the ol' "you wanted me to leave, you can deal with the kids" line, I simply smiled sweetly and asked if that meant he had CHOSEN not to see the children and that I would of course make a note of that for my solicitor.
That soon pulled him back into line!!!
Most of the time it's about a dig at the ex mrs than about the kids.
My advice is to make sure YOU do everything you can for the children to see their father, that way you are in the right. Make it clear that you are giving him every opportunity to see his children and that you will keep a note of when he doesn't. (whilst smiling sweetly, even if it IS through gritted teeth) The judges frown on fathers who demand visitation rights at the divorce hearing but have passed up every opportunity to see the kids prior to that. (I know this from a friends experience)
I DO know how important it is to have ME time and so do you (wasn't it in todays list???) I hope you find the time to have some. perhaps even a candle-lit bubble bath whilst they're all at school, etc will relax you a little. (although I always find it a little odd having a bath at 1pm!!!!:rotfl:
i hope things pan out okay for you and through reading through the posts I can see you have your friends on here, and I'm sure they will help you through it.
i hope I havent got the wrong end of the stick. I pray things work out for you. You clearly are a much loved "illustrious leader":rotfl:If you have made someone laugh today... check your skirt isn't tucked into your knickers!!!:rotfl:SarahShattered wrote: »Mrs B you're a legend.0 -
We've lost the multiples - I so like multiples.... oops - now we see it, now we don't, now we do again.
Boddy - hope Mum's OK.
Rosep - step away from the ice cream hun. Try a banana instead.... - oh I see you've settled for fish and chips....and that you're resisting the chips = well done!
Piggers - big hugs love - even if you don't want them. Glad Hazel is beginning to to wander without crashing into things...As to the rest - I hate to say it but it's true - that's blokes for you.... what's good for them is not good or right for the gander....
funfairp - what a lovely cake and jelly - glad little Piper enjoyed her day
Greenbee - big hugs for you and down with all non-understanding bossesDustykitten wrote: »Have a Dolly HH - really funny to see a 15 year old dancing into the garage with a cricket bat.
Better go and look at dinner. DS has gone to BFUR (best friend up the road) house to sort out her computer. I'll have to call him back soon I think if he's to eat something that's not burnt..I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

pigpen - I think you're going to have to make some more formal arrangement sometime, as your ex OH is taking the pi$$. Really not fair in my opinion that he's opting out of a fair share of parental responsibilities. I really admire you - couldn't do what you do. If you won't have a huge big hug, than have a virtual vodka. If I lived nearer, I'd take you out for the day. Or perhaps you could get ticketS for something and tell him what time his children will be with him.;)
I'm halfway through the boys' room. I'll do a bit more tomorrow, which should get me a fifth star I reckon.
DD has a pair of shoes, but still no bra...(if you're reading this without the rest of the thread - to go with her prom dress!!!)
DS1 has handed in his portfolio, and I'm just about back on speaking terms. Well, I'm feeling guilty for ripping into him - I do feel a bit responsible because I have gone back to work and am not around as much. I do still believe that he needs extra support, that he can't cope as well as if he hadn't been ill...
DS2 now has his best friend staying over tomorrow instead of going to the party. Mmm... and his 'with friends' birthday meal out tomorrow afternoon - yes, with MSE vouchers, of course!
funfairprincess - looks like Princess Piper had a lovely party!
:hello:special wave for dusty and hex!!!
:hello:and for all my other flylady friends!!
rach - when you're about, when do you start your new job?
greenbee - sorry to hear that - a hidden agenda somewhere??It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
