1 large jar of rhubarb and apple jam cooling nicely. I'm just decluttering a late lunch of cheese and tomato on toast then I'm going to dyson my mattress and replace the dry bedding. Then I need to Dyson the bedroom floor again as the dog has managed to find a tissue and has shredded it ~sigh~

Afternoon everyone! Just grabbing a few minutes before the school run.

    Today I have:

    ...cleaned the bathroom Done!!!:D:D:D

(and I'm halfway through the boys' room)

...shouted some more at DS1 so he actually got on and did some work on his portfolio, then I took him into school to hand it in. He won't probably get a grade for it, but I wasn't going to let him get away with the CBA attitude any longer. And yes, this shout did include the promise to chuck him out if he carried on being so idle.

...shopped with DD. We found some lovely dresses in Debenhams. DD has apparently lost weight again, as she had to go down from an 8 to a 6. Back to the doctors again next week I think. We bought a beautiful halter neck with pleating on the bodice and flared skirt, in jade (or turquoise, difficult shade to describe). Next problem, finding a bra to go under it, as the back is very low. I came home at that point, and am waiting for a call to go pick her up.

Headache has finally gone after two paracetamol. Thank you for all the good wishes etc!

toots - you're making me blush!

    soappie - fab news!!

Had a nice time catching up with my friend over lunch.

Just making a cuppa then think I'll finish our bedroom and strip DS2 bed.

Serena- hugs hun, you are not the only one who needs to shout at teenage boys to make them do anything and I know how it feels. Glad you got your DD a dress. I hope you can find an hour to yourself over the weekend - I need to take DS1 to boots to see about using the half price sunny voucher.

Getting my say in before we all vanish off into cyber space for 2 hour!

    Hoovered my office
    Done the shredding
    Emptied the bins
Going to pack up a mail shot next.
Went to MrT's at lunchtime as it will be packed all weekend, with Grand Prix types in there, but have to say they have a lorry sat out the back full (according to the staff) with BBQ type stuff, and the shelves are well stacked this year!

Red Arrows booked for 12 noon Sunday.

So have to get my flying feet on the move early Saturday morning, to be ready for Sunday!!!

Might see you all the other side of 7pm if the teckkie peeps get their work done on this site.

Quick question, I have done a paella and put a splash of wine in it, then let it simmer for 5-10 mins, is that enough to get rid of the alcohol or do I need to walk up the school???[/QUOTE]
Boiling point of water = 100C boiling point of ethanol (alcohol) = 78.3C so its all boiled off.
