    hello every one,

any way i really wanted to join in but there's no way i keep up with all the posts! how do you all do it??

I make myself a :coffee:and take a break and read through the thread, I try to do it twice a day, normally when I have a cleaning update to post. I've only being flying for three weeks and at first I found it hard to keep up, but it gets easy as you get to know who the posts are from, sometimes I just skim through them and miss out the ones that are list updates etc.. I found that I have more in common with the people on this thread than anybody from around my neck of the woods

    *** rant alert ***
Is it just me or does anyone else feel that they have nothing in common with the people around them (not meaning OH here as we have loads) - I do the school run and I feel alien to the other mums, although I get on with them and I can talk to them I feel I have to dilute down my personalty and not mention things I like to do as it's met with oh no I have better things to do with my time than that, I'd never dream of saying that to anyone, why do people feel the need to put someone down my OH says that's to make themselves feel better. It was like just after my DS was born my oh mam kept saying that I was too skinny and I lost too much weight (erm I'd had a $3$*ing baby) & looked ill (I didn't by the way I have photos too prove it, and when she was my age was thinner than what I was) I was greeted with this when we saw each other, I mean why was it OK for her to say that too me - I said to my OH at the time how would she like it if I turned around and said oi you, your fat - deep breathes - I'm getting myself worked up, oh and my older sister keeps telling me I'm too mumsy and need to get a life - I had children, they are my life and I love it thank you very much, arrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh........ do you think I should tell her then next time she says this that I think she should stop going away on the drink for weekends and stay the beeb beeb at home with her kids (I wouldn't say this as it's none of my business, but this is my point, if I want to look after my body with healhy eating & exercise and stay at home with children than that is my choice... right I need to calm down now, think blue, deep breathes, blue, arrhhh....) I'm going to do a HHI as that will calm me down. **** rant over ***

slightly went off topic abit there, so sorry, but it is something that is building up and I have no one to talk to other than OH, and although we get on and he's lovely, telling me just to ignor it somehow just doesn't cut the mustard

    Ok on the cleaning side

This week has been too busy in the Dusty household.

Dusty, lovely, I know how you feel!

Im so glad this is my last day full time......I feel totally burnt out trying to keep up with work, housework, little ones homework and school stuff, then there is his football and extra ciricular activities!

This weekend will be taken up with Football training, then a friendly in the morning, then he has a concert at his summer fete that we are to go to. Then he has a presentation at 4pm - for football.

That will be my saturday gone! I dont know when I am supposed to fit in time for a shop - and I cant arrange to have one delivered cos I dont know when I will be home!

Hmmmm, good excuse to declutter the freezer I think! :rotfl:

Next week, I start part time hours, so hopefully will be much easier for me to start fitting everything in! I told tax credits yesterday I start this week, so I am waiting for the paperwork to come through. Am hoping I wont me much worse off, but eek, will just need to wait and see....... Its a bit scary, but hopefully worth it.
:)Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying:)

Right, deep breath, I've caught up with the thread....

Kazm, hope you get the application in on time and get the job

Soappie, we get lots of advice on how to behave when we are at our conventions so as not to have too much of an impact on local residents. I suppose that any large event will have some impact on the locals, but it’s a shame that some haven’t followed the advice they are given which has caused the problems you mention.
I don’t really know what arrangements are made at Southampton, but at Twickenham, which is in the middle of a built up area, we are not allowed to park on residential roads, we hire various fields or car parks and park there, even though some of them are quite a trek from the stadium.
About the door knocking, I don’t know who is doing that as those who are not from the local area would not go out to call on you and I would assume that all the local Witnesses would be at the convention. It’s possible that some of the local JWs are trying to invite people to the public talk which is on a Sunday. Visitors are welcome at the convention, and on Sunday we have a talk which is specifically designed for the public.
I was quite shocked to hear about the girl with the rollerblades. Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe in hell as this is not a Bible teaching. We would never tell anyone that they will go to hell, no matter what they are doing (and there is absolutely nothing wrong with rollerblading!). However, this obviously has happened, and I wonder if it was someone who was attending the convention but is not a JW. It’s a shame that such a thoughtless comment has affected people’s view of us. I’m glad to hear that someone else immediately apologized. I sincerely hope that nothing like this happens again.
Thanks for being so frank, I hope this year will be a more positive experience.

Quillion, well done for cleaning the place you were staying in so well! Can you come round here now! :p

Serena hope your head is better soon. Yes, there is a sale on at Debenhams, and they had some lovely dresses in the window when I drove past there on Wednesday ;)

Well done Penny for working your magic again! :T

    Big hugs Huston

Well done Soappie for winning the hearing :T

Right, this morning I am going to sort the car out as it's a mess and we need it to be nice and tidy so we can pack it with our holiday stuff. The boot is chocka and needs to be empty so that DH can put his golf clubs in, and then the rest of our stuff will be going on the back seat. I may be some time...
