How to remove gloss splashes ?

One of the "kitchen installers" has splattered my new black worktop with gloss. Firstly any idea how to remove this ? The worktop is slighty textured, I can pick off some bits with my thumbnail but I will be there forever doing that.
Worst still, someone has noticed and tried to remove it with a scourer pad, this hasnt worked and now I have a small dull patch as well. The work surface is matt but I wouldnt mind it to have a bit of a shine, any product I can try ? Stardrops , flash etc dosnt seem to work.
Im at the stage where I want them out, no chance that I am suggesting they replace the whole worktop.
Thanks

OOo do you think that will work if the paint has dried ?0

Yup. put a drop on it and let it sink in for a while. You might need to rub a bit but it will definitely come off eventually.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Yea white spirit or a small dap of cellulose thinners if the gloss has been left dried for some time. Cellulose is grand, smelly though and you can't use too much! Unlike spirits, which you can soak in...
If the worktop is dull in places, depending on the material, try a brand such as HG or Osmo. Both brands do matt top-coat clear finishes specially formulated for worktops etc.0
