I know there have been threads on it in the past, but I wanted some up to date info...

I need an automatic Zafira, not too much mileage, has anyone bought one recently or knows someone who has? If so, can you tell me the reg and how much you/they paid for it?

Any advice/experience about it will be much appreciated.

    Hello CharleneUK

I'll move your thread over to the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board, where it should get more views and responses.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Not sure how old/new you want, but THE best place for a sensible mileage auto is in the Motability sections of British Car Auctions.

You'll have one owner reasonably well maintained few months - 3 year old examples to choose from.

An 03 1.8 Zafira Club 30,000miles will be around £6000.

Go to http://www.honestjohn.co.uk & clik Car By Car Brewakdown for hints about good & bad on ALL models.

& the AuctionView link also on his site, lets you check auction cars on offer - costs a small amount of £$£$ for this service.

Thanks for all that info, much appreciated! :)

I'd like anything from 2000 onwards really :)

You're right about motability, that's how I got my vauxhall corsa, and I was very pleased with it.

    Hi,

I bought a used Zafira in February through Network Q. It is a 2.0.dti Energy and is 2 years old, and had done 13000 miles. We I paid exactly £10k. Comes with a one year warranty and breakdown cover (means I don't need to renew my RAC cover this year).

We looked at a similar model and age with 7000 miles for £10,300 again through Network Q.

I previously had a Ford Focus which I bought from Trade Sales new, but my partner has that now. We bought from Network Q because of the convenience. My partner's car was written off in a smash and he only had 3rd PFT cover so we needed a car very quickly. All network Q cars are listed on the Vauxhall web site, I selected a couple from the list, arranged to test drive them on a Sunday and bought one the next day. We picked it up a week later ( our choice) and it had been serviced and valeted.

I was a little surprised that even though I paid by cheque, I was allowed to drive the car away without needing to wait for the cheque to clear. Perhaps I have a trusting face

    Thanks for all the advice.
before you pick it up, if you have bought it from a dealer INSIST that they put a locking device on the spare tyre cage under the car.

We found out yesterday that our spare tyre had been stolen and subsequently found out how common this is and how Vauxhall do zilch to sort it out.
