    I currently have £250k

So i've been viewing Manchester apartments in the wide range of £150k - £500k.

What do you guys imagine i will be able to borrow?

although i cant answer your question of how much to borrow, i think my only advise would be that you dont NEED to borrow at all

If you dont pay tax (because you dont have to, oh I wish I didnt have to pay tax lol)

Are you paying your National Insurance Contributions?

Just thinking of when you reach retirement age, if you arent paying them you wont get a penny state pension, so I hope you have a private pension set up?

    Just a thought.

Good luck with the house buying :)

A lot of "pro" Poker Players are really using it for money laundering. Not suggesting you are, but it's a known way of laundering money. ;-)

I'm assuming you are winning online. I would imagine, one of the problems with lending on these earnings, is they are in no way guaranteed income. Winners can quickly become losers.

I am also impressed, and if you have any tips please feel free ;-)

Personally i've always wanted to wait until i have the exact amount i want to buy an apartment. Especially since i can put a big goal behind it. But i wanted to explore my options if it's a more sound option than stopping renting.

I've also had a few PMs asking about poker info and tips, other forums have 'Ask me about x' threads which are usually very informative, i could do a 'Ask me about being a professional poker player' thread somewhere on the forums if you guys are interested, which would be the best place?

Yes definitely interested (I currently multi the $10 6max SNGs on Tilt in spare time). Perhaps in 'discussion time'?
Out of curiosity are you more into cash, MTTs or SNGs?

I think you should 'out' your screen names :)

I play cash. 5/10 10/20 nlhe. I've never bothered with SnGs, i don't enjoy that it's less flexible in play. I play Sats and WSOP ME each year and usually some others like WPT in bahamas or Party Poker Million - I'm about 0/8 in 10k events so outing my real name wont pull up a hendmob page either.

There'd be no point in me outing my screennames no one would know them and they aren't all that tracked on the tracking sites. i play on nearly every site and change it as often as i can, so on cake poker that's every week, on party once every 6 months and so on. The big downside in outing my screennames would be players at my table googling my screen name and seeing this thread and learning i'm not a random player just clicking buttons.

Still not really sure if this forum has a place in which the Ask me thread would fit.
