I've just bought a portable CD player/Radio - Sony Walkman D-NF 340 Mp3. I particularly wasnted a CD player rather than an Ipod.

Works well but the instructions say I can play a CD with MP3 recorded on it. I understand that the MP3 will allow a much larger amount of music etc on the CD but have no idea how to do this as I am not technically minded.

Can anyone please help. Thanks

Sam

.... Thanks for the reply, I should have mentioned that.

I use windows XP and WMP to download or rcord, but am not very experiance and have no idea of how to change existing CD''s tp MP3 so that I can get far more onto one CD. Nor do I have much idea of what the insrtructions on the Sony machine mean when they say ' only ISO 9660 level 1/2 & Joliet extention format discs can be played. MPEG - 1 layer 3 32-320 kbps. 2 layer 3 8-160 kbps and 2.5 layer3 8-160 kbps

Sorry to b such a dork but this IT stuff was left behind many years ago!

Many thanks for taking the time to help

In tools --> options --> rip music change the setting to mp3 and untick copy protect music

Insert a blank cd windows will ask what you want to do say nothing. open the cd folder with my computer - drag/drop any mp3 files you want to burn once done select 'write these files to cd' from the right-hand side

It's actually the left-hand side, but you are essentially correct.
