HELP NEEDED counselling diploma

i want to study a counselling diploma but i can't afford it. would someone tell me if they know about a bursary or grant in the south west? it is my first time i leave a message :j
and work experience?

Good experience when actually AT uni would be nightline or similar..

If you do it through the open uni you could get a grant if you are on benefits or low income.... thats what I've done.

you cannot do a counselling diploma through the OU!!!!
When i did mine (at a local FE college) alot of students complained at the price of the fees. There was no help available. Sorry.

But you can work towards some of it if you have not done anything in this area before..... can help get you part the way there.
Take a basic social science course or similar, at least its a start and its free for low incomes.

(I also didnt mean I was doing counselling - I am doing a degree in sociology / psychology with a view to use it towards something else)
