Thanks for the kia info last week.

I have been to look at cars today and have got 2 deals that look quite good and not sure if they are good etc.

1. Kia ceed 57 plate (so warranty until 2014), 1.6, leather trim interiot, ex fleet car, 14400 miles, diesel, 58mpg - £8650 plus they could give me £300 for my V reg ford ka.

2. Kia ceed 09 plate (so warranty until 2016), 1.4, standard spec, ex courtesy/fleet car, unknown but low milage, petrol, 34 mpg - £9000 plus £200-500 for my ka.

Are these good deals? Which is best? or are they not good deals?!
I am clueless!!!

Thanks

  • To be honest, only you can say if they are good deals.

If you are going to be doing a lot of mileage every year, I'm talking over 15000miles, then go for the diesel, if not, then go for the petrol one.
Wha's like us - damn few, an' they're a' deid

    Thank you!
I wouldn't be doing anything like that sort of mileage - the only reason I considered that diesel is because it was cheaper than the petrol ones in that specific garage.

    Thanks for your help

Sell the Ka privately, a new driver will bite your hands off

Would also sell your Ka privately. I know the days of large discounts are over but with no trade in I would be expecting £100-£200 of anyway.

Not sure about the point on the diesel either, there is only 2p difference roughly between petrol and diesel now so there has never been a better time to buy a diesel. Thats not to say things will stay that way ofc but get a drive in both and see which you prefer the feel of.
