Cheap Caribbean Holiday in October

Hi

Wondered if anybody could help. My very kind mother in law to be has offered to pay for our holiday as an engagement/christmas/wedding present! Around £450 each.

I've been looking at the Caribbean islands or Mexico in October, and I saw an amazing deal to Cancun for £460 all inclusive for a week in a really nice 4star hotel, on Teletext holidays online. By the time we called, the travel agent said that the flight was now full and we were looking at more than £700 each! I can't find any cheap offers like it anywhere else and wonder whether it was all just a swizz!?

Has anybody seen any cheap offers to the Caribbean for around this price or do you think I'm wishing for too much! I'm reluctant to go for just any old holiday in Europe as I really want to go back to the Caribbean and have a nice faraway romantic holiday, and am convinced I will find a cheap deal!

Your best bet might be a late booking for Cuba, Margharita or the Dom Rep so long as you avoid the dates for half term. Check out the weather conditions too at that time of year - you may get rather wet in Cuba, not sure about the other two islands.
