    Will he be rejected outright if he's not on, should I clarify this first?

    I don't mind putting him on mine, its easier then to send him out shopping, fill the car up etc, but I know its important he starts his own credit history. The same time I don't want him to apply if he's going to get rejected :)

    I'm a Student and not registered on the electoral role. I have 4 credit cards lol so it doesn't always prevent you from getting credit. Some lenders may decline because you're not on it, but not always.

    To check if he is on the electoral role, just contact your local council and they should be able to tell you.
