Fuengirola to Benidorm

We are going on holiday in a few weeks and staying in Fuengirola Costa del Sol. Sister in law lives in Benidorm does anyone know how feasible it would be to visit as I think to drive it would be too far. Think flying would be too expensive but just thought I would ask. thank you for any help

A train from Fuengirola to Malaga (35 minutes) would be quicker that a bus, very cheap too.

Then another train to Alicante and bus to Benidorm.

Both trains and buses in Spain are very cheap and mainly run on time. They are also clean and not unpleasant to use.

Will take you at least 5hrs to drive. My son came to visit us from Benahavis to Torrevieja and it was roughly 5 hrs..That was in the winter months.Summer the roads are busier.
To fly I had to go from Malaga to Madrid-Alicante. Flight was cheap enough though and was spending a week there but think be to expensive for a couple days.
  • Route is by train from Fuengirola to Maria Zambrano Malaga. Across the road from this station is the bus station for the bus to Benidorm. It takes about 8/9 hours and costs about E78 return. Go to alsa.es for the schedules & booking. It is better to book on line as you can reserve your seats.

Could you not meet halfway? or just go to Benidorm for holiday instead?
