Recommend a joint account?

Me & my OH are both with A&L, we decided we would be better having all our cash together, so asked A&L for a joint account, they said no:confused: Thats the thanks you get for never having a charge etc, so have you any recommendations? My credit rating isn't good but neither is it poor and would need a debit card.

HSBC are good, from personal experience. I hate Halifax and Lloyds & Barclays have mixed reviews. As for Natwest, forget it - they are just dire!

Abbey are same as A&L so forget that too - but citibank is also a decent account.....

You're best to go to a money saver thingy and do what is best for you - so many different accounts out there at the moment with different incentives.....

what exactly do you mean your credit rating isn't good etc?
    what's your OH's rating like
have you both looked at your actual credit reports

if one of you has a good rating and the other's poor then its a bad idea to get any joint accounts
