How to copy web content into OpenOffice Writer?

In Windows XP, I can copy & paste part of a web page (text/images) into MS Word. The images are downloaded (rather than just being linked to) so I can view the whole Word document when I'm offline.
In Linux, I have tried doing the same thing with OpenOffice Writer, but the images don't appear - I just see image placeholders.
An example of the type of page I am trying to copy is:
http://www.trustedreviews.com/monitors/review/2008/06/02/Dell-UltraSharp-2408WFP-Widescreen-24in-LCD-Monitor/p1
Does anyone know if there's a way to do this?
Many Thanks!!!

I just did it without a problem, from 'for the advanced' to 'why fix it' with the big pic of the monitor in the middle?0

oh I think you may have to right click on the image in Writer and 'save graphics' for it to be viewable once you've gone offline.0

Thanks for the reply. Yes - that's the sort of thing I'm trying to do... but the picture of the monitor appears as a tiny placeholder box straight away (while I'm still connected to the net).
It seems I can copy/paste individual images by choosing "copy image" from the right-click menu in Firefox... I just can't copy a block containing both text and images...
I thought there might be a Firefox addon to control how stuff gets copied to the clipboard, but haven't been able to find one. Maybe no one else has this problem!0 -
Have you considered saving the page from within the browser?0

Yes - the only problem with that is that the review I'm trying to copy has 5 pages, so I'd have to save 5 HTML files, open them all in Writer, then copy & paste the bits I want to keep into a new document and save that.
The easiest way (that I've just found) is to copy the text with Firefox's "Copy" menu item, and copy the images separately with "Copy image". I guess this isn't too bad, but it'd be nice if Linux could do it better than MS! Oh, well...
Thanks all...0 -

Here we go: There are probably more of these floating around the web, but these appear to be the most widely used.0

Cheers, Tanglefoot - I'll give them a go :-)0
