I used to work at Travelodege and if you ring and ask which ones are nearest to where you want to go they can search the database. they can also tell you which is easiest. ie if you are coming form the North to say Alton Towers ther nearest may be south so they can tell you the most convenient for the direction you are travelling

how near do you class as 'near' ? Within walking distance ? On a bus route ?

I don't think there are any that close to Alton Towers - the nearest is Uttoxeter, 7 miles away

    chessington world of adventures:

    chessington tolworth - 3 miles

however if no car both Leatherhead (also 3 miles) and Kingston travelodges are within a 2 minutes walk to a 465 bus stop - route which pulls into the park, runs twice an hour £2 a trip or £1 using oyster card, either way quite short trips
    oh lord....make me pure...but not yet ;)

Surely if you put the postcode of the destination you are going to, into the search box on the travelodge website, this will tell you the nearest travel lodge ?? or am i missing something.
ANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.

Yes you can search by postcode but there is nothing better than either experience (of the hotekl) of local knoweldge of the and area.

For example, last year I stayed at Wembley Travelodge and naively assumed I could get to Chessington in 45 minutes, it took 2 hours and to make it worse, It only took 3 hours the day before to get from Doncaster to Thorpe Park.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Blackpool South Promenade is next door to Blackpool Pleasure Beach - Chargable parking nearby
Blackpool South Shore is within walking distance of Blackpool Pleasure Beach & Blackpool Tower - Charagable? car park on site
Blackpool Central (no family rooms?) is a couple of miles from the Pleasure Beach - Chargable parking nearby

    Alton Towers
Ashbourne (free parking on site) & Uttoxeter (parking?) are the two closest to Alton Towers but both are about 20 minutes or so away by car.

yes thats the sort of thing im talking about, i booked a few rooms on the last sale after putting the postcode in and three of them takes around 1 hour to get to the theme parks im after.i just thought it would be handy for people to have a list of the decent hotels nearer the theme parks or attractions for when the sales come up and they can grab them quicker rather than searching through, thanks for all your replies. x

South End on sea is near the theme Park Adventure Island. I really like that Theme Park as even in July there is hardly any wait to get on rides-also it is free entry and you just buy a wrist band for the rides, if adults don't fancy the rides. The Devere hotel at Ascot is only a 15 min drive away from Legoland (5 miles) and they have £10 family rooms, in their sale sometimes (hotel has a pool and free tea/coffee machines). I booked one for the end of July. Milton Keynes Central Travelodge is only 2 miles from Guillivers Theme park (more suitable for under 10's). Staines TL is not far from Thorpe Park

For Longleat - Beckington, about 10 minute drive.

Saw another Travelodge that was even closer - can't remember which one. Warminster?

Legoland, we always stay M4 Reading West bound, about 20 miles (30 mins) away, but you go past a Tesco Cafe on the way to stop for brekkie, much nicer and cheaper than the motorway services.

Normally quite quiet and always been clean and functional.
