Damp proof course in dining area

Options
I am having a damp proof course in dining area. I got a standard letter from the firm with the quotes informing me I need to take the radiator off near the treated area and should get a builder to do it. I am wondering whether I could get a plumber to do it and how much it will cost? Also the letter says I should let them know of any electric cable or pipe in case of accident. I have not got any clue, surely they have equipment which could tell them where there is electric cable inside the wall. Anybody with experience in this? Thanks

Yes you need a plumber or central heating engineer, not a builder. But suggest you just do it yourself, it's a very simple job, ten minutes work at most.
I think the comment about the cabling is just to cover themselves.

Removing a radiator is not difficult -

    removing a radiator

I'm a bit confused as to why they are only installing the DPC in the dining area, and why they need you to let them know where the cables are etc?

They are removing the plaster, aren't they?
