Hi.
My kitchen tap (two in one mixer type) has got very unsightly due to the "brass" coming off.
I need advice on what is the best.......chrome or stainless steel?
Plus my plumber said for me to tell the sales person that my tap is "not mains driven".....(I have no idea why).
And......I need a connection for 15mm. Is this standard?
I want a bargain so am planning to buy off ebay.
There are so many taps to choose from I don't want to buy something that's unsuitable.
Please advise
Kind regards
Clare

For a cheaper tap without reducing quality try Ikea
Be wary of some ebay taps may there look OK but the quality can only be felt by the weight
You kitchen sink should be Mains water cold and depending on boiler either tank or mains feed hot
Some taps are only suited to either high of low pressureHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

I bought my tap from Ebay, looked in B&Q then searched Ebay for the model I liked, priced in B&Q at £49, price on Ebay was £22.0 -
What is your opinion of the Bristan 1901 kitchen mixer tap?
It seems to be a bargain on ebay....£42 ........
Its showing more than TWICE that amount in other plumbing suppliers websites.
I eagerly await your reply.
Kind regards
