Can I play something stored on my Sky+ box without being connected to Sky?

Got my Sky+ box replaced today with a HD one. It has a programme that I had recorded for my parents whilst they were on holiday. Anyway of playing this without being connected to Sky? Tried connecting it to a TV with a scart lead but just stating no signal when trying to access planner
