Yeah I really dont rate GHD, I think they are a lot of money to spend when you can get just as good straightners for a lot cheaper
I got mine off ebay, they are a brand called HD they were £20 or something and they are fabulous, they go up to 230 degrees and are ceramic plated.
As long as you get really hot ones (up to 230) then they will be good.
My only concern is your daughter is only 12, are you going to be doing her hair or is she? Because you can get some pretty nasty burns off themDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

I'm not a ghd fan either, I just replaced my old Remmingtons with new Remmingtons from Superdrug at about £20, 220 degrees heat and straightens my curly hair beautifully:) My daughter has been using straighteners since she was about 12 and her hair has no damage or problems:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

another vote for GHDs here, dont touch the tresemme ones with a bargepole as although they do a good job they dont close properly over the hair so it takes twice as long, and you get burnt fingers trying to hold the end closed!Mummy to
