I got SHE straighteners as thats what my salon had started using last time I went. They used to all use GHD's their but swapped to these and their just as quick to heat up and do my hair in the same time. They look very similar to GHDs too.

GHDs are the best in my experience but the second best pair I have ever tried are £7.99 ones from Tesco. But quite as good as GHD but far better than several of the other brands that market themselves as being just as good.

    I love my ghds :)

But i did get a dirt cheap pair of travel straighteners a few years back and they are remarkable - think they cost be approx £3 from a pharmacy in the after christmas sale and they work for me when im going away for a few days and dont wanna risk breaking my ghds whilst hopping on and off trains and lugging a bag along :)
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

GHD, I got mine online from Tesco, so got points. I'm not sure they still do them. But I believe Boots online still do, you get points & you KNOW they are not fake, I wouldn't touch ebay.

:THi KODOS are a good make, just as hot as ghd,s chances are if you buy these of e bay they wont be fakes like the ghd ebay specials :rotfl:theres lots on ebay starting £19.99 new, make sure they go to a at least 230 degrees
  • Now I know that everyone sings the praises of GHD but lets be honest they are a lot of money.
I have had my straightners for the past 3 years and all of my friends (GHD owners) who have tried them when at my home for nights out etc have said that mine are brilliant. My sister has replaced her ghds with the model I have and has never been happier.
Having seen that they are now so cheap on ebay I have bought a replacement pair (heaven forbid something happens to mine) and I would not be without them.
My hair is two types - the top is fine and straight and the underneath is more coarse, dry and naturally curly. The straighteners have vary temp so I can turn it right up for the underneath of my hair (which ends up poker straight and shiny) and turn it down to protect the softer finer hair on top)
