I agree with ShellnSteve - and I do not apologise if this causes you offence. I doubt the severity of your disability - one just has to look at all your posts.
In the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?

it doesnt cause offence. it is far easier and life would be easier if everything was able to be done electronically. i can type using two fingers but find it extremely difficult to hold a pen/pay for things in shops with change/hold pots and pans -oh does all the cooking-/turn the key in the lock/all mundane everyday tasks.

I have a bad wrist (probably not as bad as arthritis, but still hurts!) and sometimes I can't write, but I can type. Typing uses a completely different wrist and finger action to writing.

There's a whole range of disabilites, and they affect each person differently. You shouldn't judge someone just because you don't understand.

Just a quick reminder - Please can you ensure names are edited out when copying messages into the forum. It would be a bit unfair for peoples personal information to be posted on an internet forum as big as this without their knowledge.

I know of several people with arthritis, who are perfectly capable of typing, but not able to write without a great deal of discomfort (in one case, she cannot hold a pen at all).

I would suggest that those querying the disability of the OP should get their facts straight before making such unconstructive comments.

Please remember that someone with a disability can be relatively *normal* on day 1 and totally infirm on day 2. Disabilities are 90% not the same 2 days running or from morning to afternoon in some cases. It's always best to have an open mind, especially on here, or they will dive on top you and suffocate you:D but, your post is rather harsh :)

Many housing offices are too busy to assist with form filling, as are DWP offices.

However, if you collect the forms, staff at the CAB (or any local Welfare Rights Office) will help you to do all the forms.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)
