In-Ear Earphones

I just bought a Cowon D2 16GB DAB from

I'm looking for some good earphones to go with it. A lot of ones I've used in the past have been a lil bass heavy. So I'm looking for a good pair that produces good nicely balanced sound where I can appreciate the treble & mids more.

Anyone got any suggestions?
Looking to spend not more than £50, maybe a lil extra for the right pair.

Sennheiser CX-300 every time. Usually around £40 but I saw HMV selling the pink ones (possibly other colours) for only £20.

I recently bought my second pair after the first ones had an unfortunate drink of coffee.

100% agree - CX300s get my vote too - as fox said, you can pick them up for £20 quite easily nowadays.

Sennheiser if you're on a budget, Shure if you want to spend a bit more.

I like my Sennheiser CX400 a lot - got them from eBay over a year ago, and love every minute of using them. :cool:

Shure make a great range of earphones with the SE201 for between £62 and £67 on amazon.

I use them myself and they are excellent!

The CX400 have a better frequency range than the CX300s, giving better bass reproduction and of high frequency sounds.

I have the CX-400's and they are superb. I do not like a lot of bass, I prefer to hear the lighter end of the misic (I like classical a lot) and the 400's, in my humble opinion, are superb at this

Just a word of warning. Be careful of where you buy them from, as there are a LOT of rip-offs for sale for cheap prices. If you find them for less than £40 - £50 I would forget it
