Things have went from bad to worse. My bathroom flooded, which then leaked into my neighbours. That was a very fun conversation with a large man and woman screaming at me. Debt has creeped back up due to missing my extra shifts because of letting various people in and out the flat to get things sorted. Also huge cut backs at work so very few extra hours in job 1.
Bright side my contracted hours have been increased in job 1 so although I wont get months with 90 hours overtime, I will get nearly 30 extra each month due to the contract changes. Also have my P60 sent away for my tax rebate, due just over £300. Junes wage should be really good too so hopefully Ill be back up and running in a better mood come July 3rd =)

Another positive although my debt has gone up, I am still managing to pay a little extra towards the windows each month so I am seeing a difference in that balance.

Spent the last 30 mins cursing the washing machine. Its giving me an error message which requires a qualified person to come fix the problem. A qualified person I cant afford to pay. Clothes stuck in the machine too.
  • Hi Claire,

Thought I'd pop in and say hi, not been about for ages.

Our washer comes up with the same error message and I have found that if you switch it off at the wall for a minute or two and then switch it back on it sort of resets itself...might be worth a try.

EEK to the bathroom flooding, hopefully that's going to cost you too much to rectify.

    Positives
I am still managing to pay all the bills and have some money left over to stock up the cupboards and get to work.
Also still managing to make all debt repayments.
Debt was 8800 plus had gas and electric arrears of about 500 in total (various reasons for this, happily not my fault for a change!), current total of debt is 6502 and no arrears.
Tax rebate rec'ed (life safer this month)
  • Fallen away a bit from updating this diary ! I am still moving the debt in the right way. Not reducing it as much as I have previously because I have been trying to have a social life at the same time as this debt busting. This month Im working loads to pay for a little trip away next month and starting to save for christmas, fingers crossed that it goes to plan.
  • Back to paying dribs and drabs to my credit card. I just want this debt to be gone :(
