BOS Visa - received full refund....quick question though!

Provider: Bank of Scotland One Visa
Amount Claimed: £964.99 (inc interest)
Amount Paid: £1262.52 (inc interest)
Question:
The debt was at Blair Oliver and Scott and the balance was £1453.58. I had hoped that they would accept the refund as settlement of the debt but I called them today and they told me that there will be a remining balance of £191.06. Don't get me wrong I am soooo grateful for this refund as it makes things much better but I just wanted the debt cleared. I'm sure if I was paying the debt myself then they would have negotiated on a settlement. Any thoughts on this?

I would say congrats on the claim payout and that you will be clear of that debt soon.0
