Elm Dining Room Table is showing signs of distress

I have an Elm Dining room table which was damaged about 5 years ago when a lighted cigarette fell from an ashtray. The table was sent away to a Restorer/French polisher and resurfaced under insurance.
Now there are small areas of the table which are showing signs of distress, look a bit gray/silver in colour.
Any ideas how to improve the look of this myself please?

I would have thought some kind of polish. Briwax is a good beeswax based polish, but nt sure if suitable.0
