Hello there, I doubt you could do better than this company:

    http://www.carjet.es/

They certainly have the most competitive rates going, I would advise you take out the voluntary tyre insurance.

I'm also looking to hire a car, in Majorca for 7 days or so but it must be a 6/7 seater, anyone know anywhere? (with a web site in English!)

I usually use europa for a 7 seater when I go to Spain - prices OK, service good too (got a free upgrade from a Zafira to a Galaxy last time).

Although Carjet are competitive for regional Spanish airports, their prices at Barcelona and Madrid are high because they use National Atesa I think. Also, there is an excess on the insurance which needs buying out.

I have hired cars in spain a number of times over the last few years and have searched for the cheapest each time. It does differ by location / airport but I have found that
    http://www.hertz.co.uk
where cheapest on a number of occasions

This year I am going with
    http://www.economycarhire.com

Who are an agent based in the UK. they provided the cheapest for me at chose detination

Got a good quote for a zafira but it said its only 5 seats but we have one so we know its 7, they are taking into account lugguage but we are not collecting it form the airport as we have transfers, the next model up - the Espace is much more expensive. Would they let us hire the Zafira with a party of 7 & and let us use the extra seats instead of lugguage space?

Hi Sarah - that's a good point. I've seen the Zafira advertised as a five seater before in Spain but everyone I've hired over there has been a 7 (yeah, I own one over here too!).

It's a tricky one - there would be nothing physically stopping you using it as a 7 seater, but would there be insurance implications? I'm really not sure - perhaps try speaking to someone on the rental desk at the location, in my experience they usually speak English!
