Furniture thrift shops in Swansea
1. British Heart Foundation, right on the Kingsway next to Mount Pleasant chapel.
Sells furniture & electric items: large choice, mainly donated items (so stock changes regularly) plus some new items. Delivery charge and they collect donations free.
I found a 'home made' bedside cabinet DH can fix up - a bargain at £5, 'better' ones were £8-10. Small coffee tables similar prices, everything clearly marked.
2. YMCA in Parc Tawe near Staples.
Furniture, plus some 'charity shop' shelves & rails. HUGE collection of furniture, prices struck me as slightly lower than BHF, but the location is harder to reach if you don't drive.
I found 3 stackable stools for £3, but fell in love with a beautiful vintage wardrobe...£50 :happyhear
Delivery (charge) & free collection service.
Sorry about the cutesy heading, I'm not being coy about 'charity', I just liked the sound of 'furniture thrift'!
