hi,
recently ordered a hyundai i10 on the scrappage deal. however my wife has been told that she is going to be made redundant. we have paid a deposit only of £250.
my question is, would you not bother collecting the car, thereby losing £250 or purchase it and try to sell it to recoup the money with a small profit to cover the other car.
Its a hyundai i10 comfort in oyster grey, we paid £5850 plus my old car.
I've checked autotrader and someone is selling a year old model for more than we paid.

The decision is yours at the end of the day !! If you contact the dealership they may give you your deposit back as I am sure they could sell the car on !!
If you go and purchase the car you will have all the trouble and worry of selling the new car on !
Do you think your wife will find another job quickly as this may influence your what you decide to do
You say on Autotrader they are selling the car for more than you have paid but in fact they are advertising the car for more than you have paid as you do not know the figure they will actually accept for the car0 -
Does the scrappage allowance allow you to sell straight on, or do you need to hold the car for 12 months as is common with most of these discounts / deals?0

Im sure they will let you off with the £250. The waiting lists are huge and they'd give the car to the next person waiting. Just explain your situation0
