Sad to see it closing
- But I've just bought a lovely ceiling light reduced from £75 to £1
Bargain!!! ;D0 -
Was it marked at £1. I bought a couple of bras last week. Marked down to £26 & £23 each with a further 50% off tag attached. Came up at £7.50 each on the till. One of them was a Rigby and Peller.
The staff seemed confused as to how much everything is costing. There were 3 of the hoovers I bought. 2 marked at £49.99 and one at £34.99. At the till it came up at £69.99 but she gave it to me for the marked price. Apparently surplus stock from other stores is being transferred in on the Electrical department.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

it was marked as £1, the sales guy commented on the low price. I was hoping the leather suites were going to be reduced to £5 - but no luck! LOL0 -
Its a real shame -it's the best department store in the region.
Sad to see it go.0 -

That's not saying much!
I don't know what I will do without their lovely clearance shop. I have had so many bargains there. A Ducal coffee table with £350 off, Rugs with £300 off each, Sanderson bedding for £10, Revelon hair drying set £10, MR kettle £6, nick nacks for 10p for the school fete and my favourite a Richardson knife block for £5 instead of £50. This was my favourite because unlike other things I had bought there which were obviously mispriced because they had misunderstood the 50% off applied to the original price not the reduced mark price (a few days later they would alter their signs!) they realised when I was buying that they had boobed. There were 2 sets of different quality. 1 set was £25 to £5 and the other £50 to £25. Unfortunately they had displayed in the window under £5 the more expensive ones. Shame the whole shop heard me tell her they were marked as £5 in the window. Think she sold out that day!!!~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
