benefits when in hospital

:confused:Does anyone know how long you have to be in hospital before benefits are affected? My stepdaughter is on DLA with high mobility rate and income support. She has been in hospital for 3 weeks and is wondering when she has to notify DHSS.

She has to notify any stay in hospital whether it affects benefits or not. She should have already notified them.

She was too ill to think about this when she went into hospital. I'm sure lots of people must find themselves in this situation. I was more concerned about her than whether or not anyone needed to be notified.

I can understand this and I was not having a go, but just stating the rules, but it would be best if she does notify the DWP now she is thinking about it.
