If you are on a low income you may be able to claim the costs of travel to the hospital for your child. You would need form HC2 or HC3 to claim. You have to travel by the cheapest means possible.
See here for a bit more info http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/family_parent/health/help_with_health_costs.htm#help_with_travel_costs_for_nhs_treatmentThe bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

why not look into DLA, they will help if she has care/mobilty needs, i gather its a nightmare of a process to do,(from reading whats on here) my foster son get's £18 mobilty which cover's the cost of his hospital/school travel0

You would get DLA if you can demonstrate that your son has care/mobility needs which are substantially above the needs of a child the same age without his condition. It is qute hard to apply-if you have a look at the form you will see what they ask.

You would be better getting help filling the forms in if you decide to apply-either a benefit advisor at CAB or maybe a specialist nurse at the hospital could help you. Is there a support group for this condition that could advise you-google the name of it?Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0
