hsbc end of interest free overdraft

Looks like they're withdrawing the interest free overdraft for everyone!!
Telephone and internet banking won't be of any help as I've tried arguing with them before on the terms and conditions of the account on an unrelated issue to the current one.
Does this account have a third year interest free overdraft of £500 (with an overdraft limit of £1500)? Or am I confusing it with products offered by other banks?0 -

It was definitely supposed to have a third year interest free limit of £500, but it appears HSBC have decided to sack that off and just change any third year Graduate Accounts to normal current accounts.
I decided to take the loan and pay off my OD and CC. It feels fabulous to be in the black again, after 4 years of those horrible minus figures! :rotfl:0 -
Im about to start my third year of graduate account with HSBC and got the letter last week, though mine says the interest free bit will reduce to £500 from £1000
I too am on the plus account...0 -
I just switched my account to A&L, as they have a £1000 interest free overdraft for a year. I'm fed up with arguing with HSBC, as I went through it all with them last year! I also get £50 cashback through Quidco, so it seems like a much better deal! You can also recommend a friend and get £50, so it seems like this will be the best deal for me for the time being! Good luck everyone!Best 2018 wins: £1500, £500 John Lewis voucherBest 2019 wins: 18 of the latest DVDsBest 2020 wins: £100 cash 2021 wins: 130 books 2021 wins: Jubilee silver necklace 2023: 8xfootball shirts, Spar vouchers, £200 Tesco voucher,0

After several web messages getting nowhere I was finally promised a posted letter. Just got in from my parent to find it repeating that its a 2 year arrangement blah balh, and the bemefits of the current account which I will be switched to. Will move some money around and move elsewhere, a great thanks for a decade or so of business.0

I responded to this same post on the student board and asked whether the OP had received the letter last year, warning of this, but she doesn't seem to want to answer that question.0
