Help, Greaseproof alternatives please!

Hi,
I am in the middle of making a pavlova for DS1's birthday tea and, just about to put in oven I realise I have no baking parchment/greaseproof paper.
Any ideas for alternatives? It will take me about an hour to get to Tesco and back cos the local shops don't have any, and given it needs a while to dry out I don't really want to travel if poss!
So, I have a non stick tray - my experience of meringue says this is a bad idea on it's own, if I grease it lightly will this affect the meringue (ie after it is made no fat added before then)
I do have tracing paper could this work??
Please can you give me ideas?

Thanks in advance,
mrsB.

I've used tin foil in the past, and I didn't grease it.

Right I have done a small one using the tracing paper, if it sticks then I'll use it for eton mess or something. By that time my neighbour will be back and I can see if she has any greaseproof paper, otherwise I will try foil. Pudding might have to be a bit late;).

Ok just thought I'd post in case it helps someone later...
The tracing paper worked really well. Not quite as good as baking parchment, but about as good as greaseproof. They didn't peel off cleanly, there was a little of the meringue left on the paper, but only a tiny bit, and removing didn't break them at all so :T for using tracing paper!

Great tip is to use the bag from cereal. I use it cut up to store home made burgers in the fridge.

I need to make a meringue tonight and I've just realised I haven't got any baking parchment or grease proof paper. Is there anything else I can use?

My mum used to use plain white paper, lightly rubbed with margarine in these sorts of cases.
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!
