Best 'Low Emissions' Car Deal in the Scrappage Scheme?

Does anybody have any idea the best deal out there for a small, low emissions car? (ie one that fits into the £35 road tax)
I am planning to trade in my 12 year old car using the government scrappage scheme, and my limit is £5000 for a new car.
Any recommendations, in terms of the biggest savings, that is also in this cheap tax band?
Thanks.

Depends what you want but the new Kia Picanto is a £35 per annum tax car and is currently available from £4495 with scrappage allowance. I bought my mum one of these and they are a good little car with an alleged 63+mpg as well..

Many thanks for the suggestion. Any others? Or is there some website that compares all these low-emissions cars and their prices?0

With only £5k to spend on a new car you are pretty restricted with the models and manufacturers you have to choose from given your requirements. I would suggest a Diesel would be out of your price range so you are probably stuck with very small petrol engines from some of the less well-known brands.0

With your budget you are only looking at a Kia Picanto or a Hyundai i10 to be honest.0

I think motorability has a good selection of cars with low emissions
