my husband has had bright idea to get fit ( wont last long) ,so looking for a cheap mountain bike any ideas??? thanks

Do you have a local recycling center ??

I got mine from there (£10) - needed new innertubes (£1.98 x2 at Tesco) New tyre (£4.99 at Wilko) and a new Brake line (£2.99 at Wilko) and I decided to spray it as I didn't like the colour (£4.99 x2 at McGann)

So the total I have spent on it is £31.92 - Cheaper than any store and it's looks are unique to how I want it

Do you or your husband have a cycle2work scheme at work. The government permit deductions pre tax for bikes purchased for commuting. If your a higher tax rate payer you save 40% on purchase price.

Most bikes work out about half the price through this scheme.It is one of the few goods things gordon brown actually did when he was chancellor of the exchequer.
