    What's a poor boy to do?

    I've highlighted the particular parts of your post that are lies, based on current facts for you.

    My pleasure.

    I assume you mean the last two months figures? Or perhaps the total of the last six years? I was of course referring to the crash, and the likelihood of it continuing for another couple of years at least. But I didn't bother to spell it out.

    By referring to my statement as lies, rather than inaccuracies, which is a bit rude I am afraid you will have condemmed this otherwise excellent thread to be locked and removed. As you know this site is very hot on what is permissible.

    Did you know you can get Ryanair flights for as little as a pound on here?

    In the most reliable index, according to those who said a year ago or more the Haliwide was of insufficient coverage, prices ARE still going down;

    Mine's worthless rubbish, I'm amazed when it gets thanked when its frightfully spelled, ill informed and I frequently reassert that 'je ne sais rien, moi!' :confused::o:D
  • if we could find a house worth buying, we'd go for it now. but fact is, there aren't enough houses on the market to choose from.

    if you find a house you really like, then get it now.

    Which you know full well lags by 3 months. No doubt when this shows rises in early winter time while haliwide drops it'll either be "too out of date" or "VI".

    Don't deliberately spout crap, at least make an effort.

    if the Halifax and Nationwide (that only do mortgage approvals) is no longer useful - let's use the one that has the actual sales prices and also cash purchases at a modest 14% drop... where are those 30%, 40% and 50% drops people were dreaming of... <chuckle><chuckle>

    Martin Lewis' newsletter that fixed mortgage rates are climbing and that people should secure a cheap deal while they can.

    Martin knows a good deal when he sees one I think. Prices might still fall but the total costs are not that simple, now might be the best time to buy and we wont know that till later

    Decide for yourself on your own budget if you can find a good place to live that you can afford.
    Following the herd is what caused the high prices that made no sense and the worst mistakes are always repeated, decide for yourself if now is a good time to buy because its definitely a possibility imo
