Cheap trains to aberdeen - can anyone help me crack this?

OK, I'm trying to crack the cheap train deal thing - If I search on National Express, I can find cheap fares for 1st Sept, but can't book a cheap return beyond that date yet. Does anyone know how far in advance they release the cheap fares?

Also, if I go onto National Rail, there's a really fast train from Paddington, but it doesn't show up on the NatExpress site - is there a way to get cheap National Rail fares?

I'm going to crack this if it kills me, I travel to Aberdeen quite regularly and I'm sick of the flights!

Release of advance fares is a moveable feast - National Express are fairly good on their route from London to Aberdeen but it does vary. 12 weeks is the absolute maximum - it can be 8 or even less. Weekends often come out later than weekdays

There are no trains from Paddington to Aberdeen so either there's a glitch on the National rail site or you have inadvertently asked it the wrong question. To get National Rail fares cheap you click through to the National Express site
