Hi - haven't had a car for the last few years and now the kids are getting bigger I'm wondering about buying an old one. This is near our house:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1997-SEAT-CORDOBA-SE-RED_W0QQitemZ230347610155QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item35a1c9982b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A7|66%3A2|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50

Could anyone help me with a guess about how much it would cost to put the wing right? I don't know much about cars...

thanks :)

Agreed, you could get a new wing from a scrappy for about £25-£45 but the colour match you would have to be careful on if you can find one in that colour.

Around £200. Makes an old car like this marginal, I wouldn't be paying much more than £500 for a car of tht age with a decent wing. Bid is at £300 already.

Ebay is notorious for scammers unfortuntely. Makes it difficult for genuine folk to sell on there.

As long as you take precaution, checks the docs with the car etc, you shouldn't have a problem with a car that value.

Just as easy to scam on Autotrader see the post just started on buying a stolen car.

It doesn't matter where you buy you have to check everything is kosher yourself. (Away we go off topic again sorry OP...:))

Me neither. I'd probably just buy a can of red spray paint to make it look a bit better and stop rusting.
