Sugar soap is meant more as a pre-painting cleaner as far as i understand. It eliminates grease etc.
I dont think it is meant to be a cleaner per-se.
If i was intending to paint the said doors anyway then yes sugar soap then wash it off but if not a bowl of soapy water is just as good........but i wouldnt worry sugar soap wont harm it0 -
oh ok thought i had read that u good use everywhee etc
thanks for reply
as for doors just want to give a good clean down0 -
Have you tried Stardrops? A great all round cleaner & a bottle that costs under £1 goes a long way. Available in most supermarkets & Wilkinsons. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I have used sugar soap on my kitchen unit doors, cleans then up nicely especially as they are a matt texture.0

I use Sugar soap all the time as a cleaner, I use it on my PVC, tiles, woodwork, kitchen cupboards, and its great.
It definately removes grease, nicotene, ground in dirt, much better than any other cleaner I have used.0 -
I bet it would sting!

I have, it was rubbish.
I wasnt impressed with it either, it was okay as a wipeover clean, but for ground in stuff, I thought it was useless.
I have tried, flash, cif etc, but always went back to Sugar soap.
I even did a test to show my friend, i washed one area with Cif, and the other with SS, and you could see the product that removed the most dirt, SS wins every time for me, plus I use it in my painting jobs.0 -
