Any Advice for Health Assessment Money Saving?

Hi, first post, be gentle...
My partner and I are off to China to teach English in September. Our visa requires us to have a pretty detailed medical assessment before we go (includes blood tests, chest X-ray, ultrasounds of some organs, ECG, sight and vision tests and a few other things). We're both in our 20s and live near Edinburgh.
Anyone any suggestions for how best to access this kind of assessment at minimal cost?
Many Thanks!
David
