PC to TV wireless

I saw the advert last night from pc world stating you can play stuff from your pc to your tv wirelessly and rather than go to pc world i thought i would ask on here how easy it is to do and what sort of costs would be involved? As i kind of like that idea and we were thinking of doing this, can anyone please explain what i would need

Something like the Netgear entertainer, I guess AppleTV is another option.

An alternative is to get an external HDD and store the films on that and plug it in to a media player as mentioned above.

You may also experience problems if you are trying to stream HD wirelessly as the size of the film files are quite big.

OP this is the link for the kit for the ad, looks like its the apple tv device, they have a 1 metre hdmi cable listed for £40, do they think people are that daft to pay £40 for a cable
