Ok i realise this is silly but with everyone using abbreviations these days i just want some confirmation:
Is Gmail the same as Googlemail???
I have Googlemail and if it is the same can i just type Me@Gmail.com for example or do i have to use Me@Googlemail.com...
The above are not real, just examples.

They're the same mail service, Google had to rename it to Googlemail in the UK because of a copyright issue.
I know that you can get to @gmail.com addresses using @googlemail.com, and I think it works the same the other way roundSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -

Gmail is a free POP3, IMAP and webmail service provided by Google.[1][2] In the United Kingdom and Germany it is officially called Google Mail.0 -
Thanks for replies so far.I was mainly wondering because when i log into a website such as facebook, for example,it seems so long-winded to type googlemail and i wondered whether i can use just gmail?...or is gmail just a phrase used by people to denote googlemail?
As you can see im still a bit confused over this.So why dont we talk of Ymail instead of Yahoomail(if you see what i mean)0 -
The email is EITHER gmail OR googlemail. You cant use one in place of the other (And you cant use gmail at all in england anymore if you dont already have it)
'gmail' used to be what was used in england but anyone signing up for one since the copyright issue now gets a 'googlemail' account instead (Both run exactly the same, and both are run by google):idea:0
