Help re hours to work per week.

Can anyone help please. At the mo me and my husband r on JSA, CTC and also get full council tax benefit. If i manage to get part time work, how many hours per week can i work without being worse off ,i.e losing benefit and having to pay council tax? is it better to do 16 hours or less, or would it be more beneficial to work more than 16? quite confused. thanks
